Who is MMRA?
The MMRA is a global trade association dedicated to the promotion and proper use of conducting marketing research on mobile devices and the internet of things. The MMRA transcends all industry sectors. Our members include:
Together we work to define and promote best practices and to share ideas to help enhance the effectiveness and value of conducting research using agile mobile resources. We strive to foster education and open communications not only among members but also among vertical industries as well as respondents who we engage in research studies including shoppers, consumers, and business professionals.
The MMRA invites anyone with an interest in using mobile devices for marketing research (whether your interest is focused on quantitative, qualitative, passive or internet of things) to join us in shaping the future of this emerging industry.
During this conference there was much discussion around creating an organization to focus on the emerging mobile
market research industry. They
felt there was a need to create an indepedent organization dedicated to the mobile research
industry to address the many complex and ever-changing issues associated with
MMRA is celebrating it's 5th anniversary in 2016. We are proud of our many accomplishments to date including co-creating professional standards for privacy and ethics with ESOMAR, conducting over 40 hands-on workshops at conferences worldwide, establishing partnerships with 8 trade associations and 8 conference organizers, continuing to provide resources to promote the acceptance and value of using mobile devices in conducting marketing research.
The Mobile Marketing Research Association has a unique structure that allows action and discussion beyond the traditional committee structure of a trade association.
The MMRA is organized to allow members to interact and provide input on their own terms in an asynchronous manner, without endless meetings or burdensome board member responsibilities of typical trade associations.
Within this structure, committee work is vital to the ongoing growth of the MMRA. We are all busy with our own businesses, and we understand that your time is valuable. This website and our various social forums allow for open collaboration, idea-sharing, and debate among the industry which positively contributes to our members and mobile marketing research in general.

Our Advisory Board has 22 members from around the world who represent various sides of the mobile marketing research industry including research agencies, consultants, technology developers and clients. The Advisory Board, creates the strategic plan and provides guidance and support to committees. The board meets several times a year to develop the strategic plans for the association.
